Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council is planning to develop a small Visitor Amenity Centre in Maghery Country Park. Should planning permission and funding be granted, the Centre is expected to open in 2019. Expressions of interest are now being invited, by Outdoor Recreation NI on behalf of Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council, from suitably experienced operators for the running of the outdoor activity opportunity at the Centre.

The Outdoor Activity Opportunity allows for an operator to provide a range of services at the Visitor Amenity Centre at Maghery Country Park. Details of the Park and Centre and the Expression of Interest Form are included in the attachment (click on the link below to access).

It is envisaged that the private sector will utilise the Centre and compound for leisure or recreational based activities, such as but not restricted to, outdoor pursuits or water based activities for example canoeing, swimming, jet skiing, kayaking, banana boating, sailing and camping as well as private sector leisure cruisers to access Maghery Country Park to deposit visitors. These activities could also include the hire of watersports equipment (such as canoes) and/or outdoor activity equipment to the public.

There is potential for the operator to operate a small catering facility within the Centre also. A kitchenette facility will be in the centre allowing for the possibility of a modest self-service catering area or a temporary / pop up café.

Please note Expressions of Interest forms must be submitted before Wednesday 15th November 2017 @17:00. Expressions of Interest should be emailed to aideen@outdoorrecreationni.com.
