Hi all,

Please find agenda for:

CAAN Network Meeting and Activity Tourism Forum Wednesday 10th March

CAAN Network Meeting 9.30 a.m. -10.30 a.m.

These meetings will now be held twice a year and will be open for all members of CAAN’s sub groups (Activity Tourism Forum, Outdoor Recreation Group, Outdoor Learning Group) and other interested groups (NIPAN, Volunteer Rangers, Physical Activity Co-ordinators, Outdoor Governing Bodies of Sport) to attend.

Tea and Coffee 10.30 a.m. – 11.00 a.m.

Activity Tourism Forum 11.00 a.m. – 1.15 p.m.

It provides an opportunity to meet with key CAAN and NITB Activity Tourism staff and also network with others within the industry. The ATF is held in an interactive format so you get your chance to voice your opinions on the best way forward for the industry. See agenda below (or available to download from red link the bottom of this page) for more details.

Please confirm your attendance with Ben Willis ben@countrysiderecreation.com before Friday 5th March making sure that you tell us which session(s) you will be attending and if you are staying for lunch. Please also let us know of any special dietary requirements you might have.

This is your opportunity to find out details of NITB / CAAN’s Action Plan to deliver marketing, industry communication and development to the activity tourism sector in 2010 / 2011

Focus Groups – Andrew Porter, ATF Chairperson

This is your opportunity to input into the following elements of the action plan:

Adventure Festival March 2011
NITB / CAAN plan to organise this festival in March 2011 in order to increase the perception of Northern Ireland as activity destination. Activity Providers will be key to the successful delivery of this project, therefore you input at this stage is vital

Training
NITB / CAAN plan to deliver one training seminar and one learning journey for the activity tourism sector during 2010/2011. This focus group will allow you express your training needs so these can be incorporated future training delivery.

Research
CAAN plans to conduct online consumer research on outdoorni.com during 2010. This focus group is your opportunity to shape the research which will endeavour to explore and understand consumer perceptions on the activity provider offering.
