Hi all,

Further to my previous post on 17th Aug please find a final reminder for:

The Northern Ireland Tourist Board (NITB) is in the process of recruiting short breaks for the forthcoming Autumn campaign.

As such we have been asked to communicate this opportunity to activity providers in an effort to recruit themed activity breaks which include accommodation.

All current activity breaks on http://www.discovernorthernireland.com/offers/SpecialOffers.aspx?AttributeID=19398 will expire on 30th September 2011 so in order to meet campaign deadlines please return new activity breaks by Friday 2nd September.

To submit a new activity break please complete the excel spreadsheet (available to download from the red link at the bottom of this email) and return via email to Chris Scott chris@countrysiderecreation.com

As these offers will be used to support NITB campaigns, it is essential that the offers are maintained for the duration of the period – therefore all offers must be valid between 1st October 2011 and 31 January 2012. Any exclusion for bank holidays etc will need to be advised of in advance.

NITB is keen to recruit themed breaks which enhance the Northern Ireland experience. These breaks will feature on the campaigns website, while not bookable on-line, these will direct consumers to the relevant website for more information or to book.

Autumn Campaign Details

NITB will be running a major marketing campaign targeting both the Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland markets for the autumn 2011 period. The campaign will aim to encourage residents of both markets to visit Northern Ireland for a short break during the months of October 2011 through to January 2012.

The campaign will build on the success NITB activity in 2010 and will continue to focus on the ‘explore more’ proposition. Through this NITB is seeking to highlight all that is unique and special about a short break in Northern Ireland. NITB’s most recent piece of evaluation, for Autumn Campaign 2010, showed that the campaign generated circa £6.7m for the tourism industry.

Given the current financial climate NITB is keen to exploit the huge potential that exists in both the domestic and ROI markets.

Kind Regards,
