beverley pierson Administrator This user joined in Oct 2008 and has made 48 posts. | Posted on 23 November 2011 at 09:51 CAAN is now seeking applications from experienced event management companies to provide specific services to facilitate in the delivery of the Giant's Causeway Coast Sportive in 2012. The Giant’s Causeway Coast Sportive was created by CAAN to attract cyclists to stay overnight in Northern Ireland, hence driving bednights and spend in the area. It also aimed to showcase some of Northern Ireland’s most stunning natural assets including the Giant’s Causeway, the Glens of Antrim and Torr Head. The inaugural event took place on the 17th September 2011, with Ballycastle, Co Antrim being the location of the event HQ. Over 600 participants from all corners of Ireland, Scotland and England took part in the event. The 3 routes (approx 57km; 126km; 182km) each provided a challenge for every level of cyclist. Tender submissions should be submitted before 4pm on Wednesday 30th November 2011.
