Hi all,

Siobhan Weir from SkillsActive has asked me to share an invitation to the launch of Northern Ireland’s Youth Employment Scheme.

Kind Regards,

SkillsActive view this scheme as an excellent opportunity for our sector leaders, employers and stakeholders as DELNI has agreed to work closely with Sector Skills Councils to shape the programme to suit individual employers and sub sectors.

I hope you will be able to attend the high profile launch at the Titanic Centre on the morning of Wednesday 26 September where you will be able to speak directly with DELNI officials.

SkillsActive is keen to see a good turnout of the Active Leisure & Well-being sector at this event so we would urge you to accept this invitation as soon as possible (numbers are genuinely limited) by emailing yes@delni.gov.uk

INVITATION
Northern Ireland Youth Employment Scheme

WHEN
Wednesday 26 September 2012

WHERE
Titanic Suite, Main Hall, Titanic Belfast

TIME
8.00am to 11.00am

The Department for Employment and Learning is hosting a free breakfast seminar to introduce the new Youth Employment Scheme to employers.
The key note speaker will be Charles Mayfield, UK Commissioner for Employment and Skills.

Employers will have the opportunity to hear first hand how the Department’s Employment Service has developed new ways to support young people into employment, and details of the package of support on offer to employers. The package will invest £40 million over the next 3 years, representing a major investment in our young people by the NI Executive.

As there are a limited number of places early registration is recommended.

To find out how your business might benefit from the Youth Employment Scheme, please register your planned attendance by emailing yes@delni.gov.uk

If you require further information please contact the Employer Engagement Team at EmployerEngagementTeam@delni.gov.uk
