Dear Events/Parenting Co- Ordinator,

Every year, Parents' Week hails the amazing contribution parents make to their children’s lives.

Parents’ Week this year will run from 22nd – 28th October but we are also willing to advertise events for the week before and after.

We’re excited to confirm the theme of this year’s Parents’ Week is "Make a Moment".

We will be celebrating those moments that make being a child and being a parent so special. With all the extra pressures modern parents face, it can be difficult to find the time that children really need.

Being there for your children isn't about paying for expensive toys or day trips. It’s about the time and attention you give. Whether you have five minutes, half an hour, or longer, sharing a moment is what its all about- letting your child know that you love them and taking a moment to give them your attention, whatever you’re up to at the time.

More information including a wealth of resources will be coming shortly. If you’ve not already done so, please register to ensure you receive updates and have access to resources.

Remember also register your event by completing the events form available to download from the red link at the bottom of this notification to enable us to advertise it on the Parenting NI website. Contact details: Emma McNulty, tel 028 9031 0891, email emmam@parentingni.org

So join us for Parents' Week 2012 and help us to...

- Celebrate the hard work parents do

- Raise Awareness of the importance of spending quality one-to- one time with a child
