We received this letter from Access NI this morning and are wondering if anyone else is in the same situation.
It seems to be saying in order to continue to be registered to do checks you will need to run a minimum of 20 a year. Outside of that you will need to use an umbrella organisation.
This will of course cost more money and delay what is already a slow process. There may also be data protection issues for the person being vetted.
It’s a shame that the vetting process is becoming more complicated rather than streamlined. Making it more difficult to check potential staff could lead to a disaster.
Anyway that’s my 2 pence worth.
I have attached the letter.
