MountainBikeNI.com is working in conjunction with The Irish News to produce 'A guide to Mountain Biking in Northern Ireland' feature.

This guide will be produced as a special feature within the Irish News on Friday 9th August. The Irish News is now the biggest selling local daily newspaper in Northern Ireland with an average circulation of 40,917 copies per day (ABC) and on average, 161,000 readers per day (NI TGI 2012)

The guide will focus on the three National Trail Centres i.e. Davagh Forest, Castlewellan and Rostrevor but will also have a strong destination message to encourage short breaks near each trail therefore providing a strong promotional opportunity to accommodation providers, cafes, pubs, activity providers etc. The mountain bike trails which have been opened for around 3 months are already on target to exceed their estimated visitor numbers of 15,000 Rostrevor, 13,000 Castlewellan and 12,000 Davagh Forest.

The guide will be sponsored and branded by MountainBikeNI.com with support from the councils within the consortium i.e. Cookstown District Council, Down District Council and Newry & Mourne District Council.

There is the opportunity for you to place a bespoke advert within the feature to further promote your business at a key time of the year. The Irish News is offering those tourism providers involved with MountainBikeNI.com a heavily discounted rate to take part (see below). The Irish News will also provide a free advert design service.

Given the nature of the guide, we would advise you to tailor your advert to mountain bikers in order to maximise the response. MountainBikeNI.com is always available to provide advice on this if required.
