Canoe Association Northern Ireland and Outdoor Recreation NI have an exclusive 2 day BCU Paddle-Ability Training opportunity, Saturday 30th November 2013 - Sunday 1st December 2013.

It is an excellent opportunity for individuals within Northern Ireland to take part in this new recognised British Canoe Union accredited course that will count to CPD points. The course will enable attendees with the expertise to teach individuals with disabilities essential canoe skills.

There are 2 levels of the BCU Paddle-Ability course
Level 1
Paddle-Ability Foundation Module
• Establish basic communication skills and apply basic coaching skills with
people with disabilities
• Selection & modification of equipment
• Health & Safety
• Use of approtiate terminology
• Range of disabilities that can be encountered

Level 2
Paddle-Ability Intermediate Module

• Requirements of differing disability groups
• Communication skills and Delivery styles of training
• Describe, select and make minor modifications to equipment
• Health & Safety issues including manual handling and rescues

Delegate fees are £40pp.

Booking early is advised as there are a limited number of spaces available.
