philip weston User This user joined in Nov 2013 and has made 1 posts. | Posted on 20 November 2013 at 10:40 Seminar for Outdoor Challenge Event Organisers Outdoor Recreation NI, in association with Sport Northern Ireland, will be hosting a FREE ‘Seminar for Outdoor Challenge Event Organisers’ on Tuesday 10th December 2013. This full day seminar will provide information, help and advice on organising responsible and sustainable events in Northern Ireland's natural environment. It will provide examples of best practice from a wider United Kingdom and international perspective, whilst interactive workshops will outline how the newly published 'Toolkit to Planning Responsible and Sustainable Outdoor Challenge Events' can be easily applied to Northern Ireland, as well as the importance of Leave No Trace Ireland. A 'Meet the Professionals' networking opportunity will allow independent outdoor challenge event organisers to network with charity organisers to discuss ways of working together on future events. The seminar is open to anyone involved in organising outdoor challenge events: • Charitable bodies using the environment for their events • Activity providers who can provide expertise on delivering such events • Local authority countryside access officers and biodiversity officers • Land owners, managers and statutory authorities • National Governing Body Officers and club representatives For those professional event’s organisers wishing to attend, the seminar will provide an opportunity to: • meet with charity fundraiser and other groups through our ‘Meet the Professionals’ networking event and provide them with information on the services you provide • learn more about the good practice 'Toolkit to Planning Responsible and Sustainable Outdoor Challenge Events' and how it can assist you when planning these events in Northern Ireland's natural environment • display company / organisation information to promote your business and services For more information or to register, please visit http://www.outdoorrecreationni.com/training/seminar-for-outdoor-challenge-event-organisers/ or download the programme and follow the links to the registration form.
