Outdoor Recreation NI, NITB and the Activity Tourism Working Group have decided to change the scheduling of the Activity Tourism Forum from being held twice per year to having one larger forum each January. The new forum will still provide the previous networking and interactive elements but also now introduce key note speakers on important activity tourism related topics. A detailed programme and booking form for this event will be circulated in the New Year. However we have provided a brief overview of topics that will be presented on the day: • Creating Experiences - NITB Learn how to turn your products into experiences to suit the tourist market • Creating Experiences (Case Study) - Electric Escapes Learn how Mayo based activity provider, Electric Escapes, have successfully developed cycling experiences - combining the nature, food and culture of Ireland's west coast aboard electric bikes • Simple Steps to using Social Media Effectively - NITB • Practical Steps and Strategies to Retaining Customers - Lizard Adventure, a multi activity centre based in Cornwall. Other topics to be included are: • Adventuremark • Northern Ireland Adventureland Weekend • Trends in the Outdoor Industry • SkillsActive Update including upcoming training courses • Future training opportunities within Outdoor Recreation NI • Working Group Elections This event will be free of charge. |
