If you have any questions or queries regarding the below opportunity please contact Rachel Quigg at NITB r.quigg@nitb.com: Northern Ireland Tourist Board (NITB) Marketing department regularly has a number of competition based marketing opportunities for industry to avail of free of charge. Competitions are a great and cost effective way to get your message out there. All you have to do is supply the offer and NITB will do the rest. This is a free of charge service that we provide to the tourism industry in Northern Ireland. We would like to retain a stock of competition prizes that we can use in order to respond to and offer for these opportunities, that arise throughout the year, either as part of other advertising packages or ongoing activity with media. If there is a specific outlet in NI or ROI that you would like to get coverage or placement in, please let us know. Typical opportunities and coverage are as follows: Social & Digital Marketing • Promoted on Discover Northern Ireland social media channels: Facebook (120,000 likes) and Twitter (36,000 followers). Monthly reach of posts 3.3 million • Placement on DiscoverNorthernIreland.com website homepage: 3 million+ visitors per year • Inclusion in monthly ezine going to database of 70,000 in NI & ROI • Typical reach of 80-120k, Typical comp entries 5k Republic of Ireland PR Competitions offer an excellent platform to promote your business in the ROI market reaching an audience of between 100,000- 400,000 readers. The competition includes 50-80 words (approx.) and images with no placement fee which NITB will arrange through their channels and contacts. NITB will source the press, supply the copy and images, you simply need to supply the prize. The AEV on competitions can be as much as €25,000 - allowing you to advertise your hotel in a cost effective way. Possible outlets include the Sunday World, Irish Daily Mail, Irish Daily Mirror, Irish Sun and the Advertiser Group. Northern Ireland PR Within Northern Ireland, the Destination PR unit arranges competitions in a wide range of publications and outlets such as the Belfast Telegraph, News Letter, Irish News, Ulster Tatler and radio stations such as Cool FM and U105. These provide a very economical way of promoting your business within the domestic market. NITB will source the press, supply the copy and images, you simply need to supply the prize. If there is a publication/media outlet you would be interested in running a competition in you can also contact the Destination PR unit who can source and organise on your behalf. We would also encourage you to link up with another provider to strengthen the overall prize, for exp a hotel offers overnight accommodation for a family at Easter/Christmas with entry into a local attraction/activity. NITB will be happy to discuss and consider all potential competition ideas/packages you may have. Overnight stay packages are particularly welcome as these are most attractive to media.
