The next Activity Tourism Forum will take place on Thursday 19th February 2015 in the Education Centre at Peatlands Park, Dungannon from 10.00am to 3.30pm. Please find an event programme below.

This event is free of charge. If you would like to attend this event please download and complete the Booking Form from the red link below. Post or email completed booking forms to Outdoor Recreation NI no later than 5pm on Friday 13th February 2015.

Delivering the Unique Outdoors Experience

Unique Outdoors is one of the five core experience themes which have been identified by NITB to appeal to Northern Ireland’s best prospect visitors and provide a competitive advantage. Sheena will provide an overview of how to engage with NITB to help maximise the potential of the Unique Outdoors Experience Theme.

Using Social Media to Increase Brand Interaction

This social media workshop will explore how to use social media to increase brand awareness, recruit a captive audience and ultimately drive footfall. Kathryn will provide practical advice and guidance to empower you to make an impact to your bottom line, turning a follower into a visitor.

Adrian will also offer his perspective on what service hotels require from an activity operator in order to offer an attractive proposition to guests.

Update on Adventuremark Accreditation

Mike will give a brief update on the development of Adventuremark, issues associated with accreditation in Northern Ireland and provide an overview of the recent industry survey on scale of the industry and relevant safety practices.

Chris Scott - Activity Tourism Manager, Outdoor Recreation NI
Marketing Opportunities within Outdoor Recreation NI

Chris’s presentation will focus on the marketing opportunities available for activity providers within Outdoor Recreation NI including OutdoorNI.com and Northern Ireland Adventureland Weekend.
