Sheena will provide an overview of how to engage with NITB to help maximise the potential of the Unique Outdoors Experience Theme. Kathryn Pyper - Head of Digital Marketing, Engage Using Social Media to Increase Brand Interaction This social media workshop will explore how to use social media to increase brand awareness, recruit a captive audience and ultimately drive footfall. Kathryn will provide practical advice and guidance to empower you to make an impact to your bottom line, turning a follower into a visitor. Q & A Session • 11.35 am – 12.10 pm Tea & Coffee • 12.10 pm – 12.45 pm Presentations Stephen Power – Head of Marketing & Business Development, Extreme Ireland Working Successfully with Tour Operators Extreme Ireland has grown from a small company with 4 employees offering hiking tours in Ireland to a 60 strong organisation offers a variety of walking tours, soft adventure tours, day tours, adventure courses and international adventures. Keith/Stephen will share his experiences on the company’s growth focusing their successful relationship with international tour operators. Q & A Session • 12.45pm – 1.45pm Lunch • 1.45pm – 3.00pm Presentations Adrian McLaughlin - General Manager, Carton House Hotel, Kildare Excelling at Customer Service Adrian is a passionate award winning Hotelier with extensive experience operating both International branded and standalone properties. Adrian will be revealing some of his customer service top tips which can be easily translated to the activity sector. Adrian will also offer his perspective on what service hotels require from an activity operator in order to offer an attractive proposition to guests. Q & A Session Mike McClure - Outdoor Recreation Development Officer, Sport NI Update on Adventuremark Accreditation Mike will give a brief update on the development of Adventuremark, issues associated with accreditation in Northern Ireland and provide an overview of the recent industry survey on scale of the industry and relevant safety practices.
