HI ALL,

The CAAN marketing team has been working hard on a redesign of our main consumer website – www.outdoorni.com

The ‘new look’ website will be re-launched to the consumer on Friday 29th May to mark the start of our summer campaign. (more information on this to follow later today)

PLEASE READ UPDATES BELOW TO ENSURE YOU STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD

The redesign will incorporate the following:

• New look home page
• New Packages Section
• New ‘Where to Go” section – this will include cluster (mini-destination) guides on the following areas:
o Fermanagh
o Lough Neagh
o Mourne Mountains
o Sperrin Mountains
o North Coast
o Strangford
o Mini-destination guides will include inspirational short break and day trip itineraries, packages, events and offers
• Redesigned Activity Sections – bringing outdoor activity providers to prominence
o Some new activities have been also been added
• Redesigned Events Page – to incorporate pricing and promotional blurbs
• Redesigned Offers Section to incorporate pricing
• Currency Converter - with ROI market in mind
• New CRM so we can further segment our consumer (i.e. separating the family, occasional active, regular amateur and dedicated enthusiast)
• New News Sections – providers now have the ability to upload news directly on to the website


We have now created further structures for you to add content regarding your business via TRADE LOGIN on OutdoorNI.com in order to create a more commercial focus for the website.

We make no apologies for this in-depth email because 20 minutes spent on this will definitely reap rewards for your business.

Please find available to download User Guide – ‘How to get the best from OutdoorNI.com’ but please read important additions below – if you follow these you will certainly STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD.

All updates can be made from trade login area. If you have misplaced your username and password please contact me and I can reset for you.

2.0 User Profile
Be sure to indicate which Cluster i.e. mini-destination you are in – this will ensure you appear in the new ‘Where to Go’ section

3.1 How to Submit news
You can now upload news and corresponding images directly onto OutdoorNI.com – remember keep it short and simple and point the consumer to somewhere they can find out more info. All news items will be approved by CAAN marketing team and also used to feed into our PR campaigns.

3.2 How to upload a special offer – this is the 2nd most popular page on OutdoorNI.com
• Please indicate which Cluster i.e. mini-destination the offer applies to – this will ensure this offer appears in the new ‘Where to Go’ section
• Also indicate a FROM PRICE for your offer – there is no point creating an offer without displaying the price!!
• If you already have an offer in place please ensure to go back and make the necessary updates – i.e. enter cluster/mini destination area and price

3.4 How to upload an event – this is the 3rd most popular page on OutdoorNI.com
• Add a blurb for each of your events – this will appear in the events summary page
o The blurb should be one line to catch the attention of the consumer to draw them towards your event to find out more info which is still contained in the description
• Indicate a FROM PRICE for your event
• Please indicate which Cluster i.e. mini-destination the events applies to – this will ensure this offer appears in the new ‘Where to Go’ section
• If you already have an event in place please ensure to go back and make the necessary updates – i.e. add blurb, add price, enter cluster/mini destination area


NEW SECTION ON OUTDOORNI.COM – ABILITY TO UPLOAD PACKAGES

PACKAGES -This section will feature prominently in the new ‘Where to Go’ section.

See add New Day/Short Break under offers and packages in trade log in section

• The fields are self explanatory and the purpose of this section is to inspire the consumer to enquire about a tangible package.

• Feedback from consumers has been that activity providers profiles are too general (i.e. they explain you can do a wide range of things) whilst events are sometimes to specific (i.e. only on a set date). It also means you don’t have to provide discount as required in a Special Offer

• Packages should be a way of inspiring the consumer to enquire about a programme you can offer on a regular basis whether it is a short break or a day trip.

• For example you may want to tell a family coming to Fermanagh that they can book a canoeing session or highlight to a couple coming to the Mournes that they can stay for two nights whilst taking part in three different activities.
